Jobs

Want to work with us? See the vacancies below.

Operations Manager

Location: Flexible (remote). Type: Full-time. Reports to: Managing Director. Salary: Competitive + Bonus. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.

Who we are

iOpener is a global provider of leadership development. We have designed and delivered high-quality learning interventions and coaching programs for organisations and business schools around the world for over 25 years.

We are a team of problem-solvers, creative thinkers, and facilitators who transform leaders and their organisations. And we’re looking for an Operations Manager to help us take our impact to the next level.

You will have a significant impact on delivering our vision: Making Leadership, Learning and Life Better. This isn’t just about managing programmes; it’s about reimagining the way we serve our clients, evolve our brand, and strengthen the systems that help us serve others.

What will you be doing?

At the highest level, you will be focusing on demonstrating the impact of what we deliver and strengthening how we serve our clients and each other. We want you to revamp our IT platforms and update our Client Lifecycle and the overall experience to make work better, internally and externally.

We want to change how we show up to our clients, participants and beyond. A rebrand is needed in the medium term, and this is something you will be helping with too. We also have some high-value client relationships and programs that need to be managed. You will be playing a key role in shaping and delivering our strategic goals alongside the Managing Director, Finance Director and beyond.

Key responsibilities

Operational Excellence & Internal Systems

  • Reimagining and redesigning the client lifecycle to improve touchpoints and value at every stage
  • Auditing and upgrading our IT platforms to enhance team collaboration, programme tracking, and data capture
  • Managing supplier and provider relationships, including external IT partners, travel agencies, print and design providers
  • Measuring impact by developing frameworks to track the outcomes and ROI of our programmes. Turning insights into compelling data narratives for clients and to enhance our ways of working
  • Leading a small, brilliant team of two Programme Managers and a number of freelance project support staff: coaching, resourcing and managing wellbeing
  • Partnering with the MD and Chair on strategy, commercials budgeting and forecasting
  • Managing our in-house psychometric tools: Happiness at Work assessment tool and i360 Degree feedback tool
  • Ensuring we are governing the business to fulfil GDPR, data protection and other regulatory requirements

Business Development

  • Securing new business, including supporting requests for client proposals
  • Building relationships with key stakeholders that lead to us growing our portfolio of work with clients
  • Developing case studies, capturing testimonials, and other key insights used for business development purposes
  • Updating our website to reflect the value of what we do
  • Ensuring excellence across client deliveries, whilst at the same time reaching our commercial targets

Programme Management

  • Leading the creation and delivery of bespoke L&D workshops, programmes and academies for corporate and business school clients from inception to evaluation, working closely with consultants, instructional designers, facilitators and client stakeholders
  • Managing logistics, communications, and relationships with clients, consultants, and facilitators
  • Evaluating programme effectiveness to generate insights and continuous improvement

What skills do you need?

iOpener’s core values are Courage, Accountability, Growth, Kindness and Decisiveness and we hope you will feel comfortable sharing what values matter to you. Why? Because our research shows this strengthens connection.

Here are some specific skills we think are relevant:

  • Experienced in programme and project management skills, ideally in a professional consultancy or L&D context
  • Excellent communication skills: Able to review training content, create simple and empathetic client communications
  • Tech-savvy with experience leading IT or platform transitions (e.g. CRM, cloud tools).
  • Client-focused with strong relationship management skills
  • Insight-driven: Able to design, collect and interpret data to inform better decisions and innovate
  • Coaching leadership style to deepen relationships with reporting team, consultants and clients
  • Valuing diversity: Demonstrating an appreciation of a diverse team. Appreciating differences across our consultant and client base
  • Commercial acumen, proven analytical ability and knowledge of P&L management

Desirable

  • Experience in consulting, learning & development, or executive education.
  • Exposure to brand, communications, or customer experience design.
  • Knowledge of platforms like MS Teams, HubSpot, WorkFlowMax or similar

What are the perks?

We want to create for our team what we do for our clients. So, expect lots of coaching, experiencing our programmes first hand and having the freedom to create your own role.

  • Competitive salary: Starting at £44k.
  • Holidays: You’ll get 22 holiday days and Bank Holidays. We are also open to hearing about flexible leave options to support longer holidays and time off
  • Bonus: We work collaboratively, so we share in our success together. When we reach our goals, we are all rewarded with a quarterly bonus and an end-of-year bonus. Over the last five years, this has always happened
  • Competitive salary: We review our salaries every year to ensure we are paying fairly
  • Flexible working: We trust you to work when and where you want. We just want to make sure you stay safe and well. We are relaxed if you need to finish early for appointments or to fit your studies or interests around your work. Reach out at any time during the recruitment process to share what matters to you
  • Continuous learning: Structured learning and development opportunities - we have a training pot to support professional development. We also encourage you to join and observe the sessions you will be supporting, literally learning on the job!
